The Black Cat: Superstition and Beliefs
The Pet Love Shack web site is dedicated to caring for pets.  Its Halloween section discusses the origin of cat superstitions along with presenting information on caring for pets during this holiday.
This directory of Holidays and Special Days has links to websites which explain the histories of most American holidays and their symbols and traditions.

Bill Petro, an expert in ancient history, has a section on his website which presents historical information on holidays.
You can find information on the origin and history of many holidays.  The holidays are arranged in order by month.

Traditions, activities, history, and holiday crafts are offered for over 15 major holdidays, including Valentine's Day, Ramadan, Martin Luther King Day, Purim, Easter, Passover, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Shavuot, Independence Day, High Holy Days, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas.

Sacred-text.com is an archive of electronic texts about religion, mythology, legends and folklore, and occult and esoteric topics. Texts are presented in English translation and, in some cases, in the original language. This is the full text of a book written by T. Sharper Knowlson in 1910.

This site is dedicated to everything there is to say, do and know about pumpkins.  There is information on growing, carving, cooking pumpkins along with songs, games and the history of pumpkins.

Barbara and David P. Mikkelson snopes.com site contains a wealth of information on urban legends. Try typing superstition in the Search window.
Popular, cultural, and religious holidays with history, recipes, crafts, games, and stories including celebrations like Lammas, Boxing Day, and Ramadan.
