The American Civil War - one of the best sites on the Internet for Civil War information.  It provides a timeline, state battle maps, biographies, flags, battle statistics, etc.  Click on the Alphabetical Battle List to receive a summary, results, location, dates, commanders, troops, and casualties for every battle of the war. The American Civil War - an award winning and  frequently updated site which provides numerous links to Civil War internet sites.  If you want to learn about the Civil War, this is a great site to brouse in.  Click on Battles, Battlefields, and Historic SitesFor additional information, click on Generals. The American Civil War - this is a student developed ThinkQuest site.  The page gives an introduction to the Civil War. American Civil War Encyclopaedia - A comprehensive encyclopaedia on the American Civil War from the British web site, Spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk   There are sections which cover the Civil War Chronology, Famous Battles, and Military Leaders along with other areas of interest on the Civil War. American Civil War Homepage - an incredible site with links to vast amount of subjects relating to the Civil War.  This is a site to go to browse and learn all kinds of interesting things about the Civil War.  It is frequently updated.  Click on Images of Wartime or Battles & Campaigns at the top of the homepage. American Memory Library of Congress - this site offers the Selected Civil War Photographs Collection which contains over 1,100 war related photographs.  You will also find a Time Line of The Civil War, 1861-1865 which offers a month by month account of the events of the war.
