General Information
Ronald W. McGranahan's American Revolution site presents a wide variety of information including a Timeline of the Revolution with informational links to people, places, and events,  You will find biographical information on American and British Generals and detailed information on the battles and an explanation of the Loyalists. Use the Quick Reference list and the Complete Table of Contents ~Site Map to find information.
The National Park Service Museum Collection provides information on events of the Revolutionary War including Valley Forge, Guilford Court House, Morristown, and portraits of Revolutionary War leaders arranged by Northern colonies, Middle colonies, and Southern colonies.  The Valley Forge section has an interesting section on the training and discipline of the Continental soldier designed by Prussian Army officer, Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben.
At the American Revolution site, use the Table of Contents on the left hand side of the page for topics such as the British Problem of Strategy, The Army's Evolution, and the Continental Army.  Ignore all the Google ads at the top of each page.

American Defenders of Land, Sea & Sky  A nation in the making  The American Revolution (1775-1783) is a site from the Historical Preservation Services of the National Park Service which follows the major events of the American Revolutionary War from Lexington to Independence Hall to Fort Ticonderoga.
This National Park Service site is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the American Revolution.  You can take a state by state tour of the American Revolution and look at a timeline of events of the American Revolution.

America's Story from America's Library" wants you to have fun with history while learning at the same time. The site comes from the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. which is the largest Library in the world.  It offers an overview of the Revolutionary War and links to additional information on Nathan Hale, the French alliance, and the start of the American army.

This site is based on the PBS series Liberty!  Chronicles of the Revolution provides newspaper stories of  the Boston Tea Party,  the Declaration of Independence, the battles of Trenton, Saratoga, and Yorktown, and the creation of the Bill of Rights.  There is also a timeline of Revolutionary War events.  You can compare the British and American military in terms of  status, uniform, weapons, and terrain as well as providing information on daily life in colonial times.

very detailed account of a battle along with maps.  Click on Contents on the left and then on the Next links on the bottom of each page.
The Old Barracks Museum is sponsored by the New Jersey Historical Commission and the New Jersey Cultural Trust.  There is detailed information on both the first and second battles of Trenton.
